The Toyota Camry has been totally gone through for 2015, and it’s almost an entirely new car inside and out. If you live in Deerfield Beach, Hollywood, or Weston, FL you ought to make a trip over to Lipton Toyota in Fort Lauderdale and see just how new it is.

The 2015 Honda Accord continues on with minor changes from the model introduced in 2013, but it’s just not as fresh and modern as the Camry.

Recent Redesigns

The current Accord is nearly exactly the same as the one that debuted in 2013, while the Camry looks nothing like the 2014 model. If you are buying a new car, why would you want it to look 2 years old already? Toyota gave the new Camry a more premium shape, interior and technical features that you would only have found on a Lexus not too long ago, like the Entune infotainment system.

Camry Transmission vs. Accord Transmission

If you really have your heart set on the Accord, make sure you take one for a brief cruise at freeway speeds before you buy. The Camry features a conventional 6 speed automatic transmission, but the Accord with the 4 cylinder motor has a continuously variable automatic. Around town the CVT is great, but it can cause an annoying steady RPM droning after a few miles on the freeway.

Camry Tech vs. Accord Tech

Both of these cars have the basic technology like Bluetooth connectivity, blind-spot monitors and navigation, standard or as options. But the newer Camry offers some tech features that Honda has not gotten to yet in the Accord, like:

  • Qi wireless smartphone charging
  • Forward collision mitigation with auto braking
  • Safety Connect telematics with accident reporting and theft recovery
  • Cross-traffic warning system
  • Noise-reducing windshield

It’s always a close race between these 2 rivals, but the new 2015 Toyota Camry is just a little bit better. Come judge for yourself with a test drive at Lipton Toyota in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
